Hey all!! Happy hump day! I can't believe we are already at the end of February. This hockey season has flown by. Today, I wanted to show you all how to wear the sneaker wedges I just bought. I am in love with them, and they are so comfortable. Derek thought they looked a little like something Pete Wentz would wear haha, but I think they are sporty and girlie at the same time, and the hidden wedge is amazing. This look would be perfect for a shopping day, hockey game, or even a more casual date night. Oh, I am blonde again, and it feels so good. I was really missing my blonde hair, so I went in for some highlights. The gal did an amazing job, I think it looks really natural. What do you all think??

Lipizzaner's in Slovenia

We recently got the opportunity to visit the Lipicia Stud Farm in Slovenia. The Lipica Stud Farm is the one of the largest farms of Lipizzaner's in the world, more than 300 live there now.  It's history dates back to 1580. It is actually the origin of the Lipizzaner horses. Lipica is open year round, and in the summers they have performances and you can actually ride the horses too. A few years ago, they refurbished some of the barns, because they had a very important visitor, the Queen of England. That day we got to take a tour of the barns, and museum, I'd love to go back in August and go for a ride. This trip was definitely up my alley.

Sunday Best

20130224-133525.jpg

Sundays are my favorite, cause it's a day to dress up, and a day to rest. Since I am not working right now, I rarely get chances to dress up, and I love to dress up! I am really loving peplum tops these days and since I am not very curvy, they actually help give me curves!! Love it!! Hope you enjoy as much as I do, and have a fabulous next week!!

New Stuff

Yesterday the girls and I had a chance to go shopping in Ljubljana Slovenia. They have lots of great shopping. I am really into items with leather detail, and I got a couple really cute tops. I've also been into the new sneaker wedges that are in all the major fashion magazines. I've been debating on getting a pair, and I finally took the plunge  Here they are, and hope you like them as much as I do. Outfits to come soon!

Outfit of the day :)

Hey ya'll ! Happy Friday!! Today my look is more for comfort, and warmth. Headed to Ljubljana Slovenia with the girls to do some shopping. As you have probably already noticed, I love Zara. Their clothes are so fashion forward, and relatively inexpensive. You can buy more trendy pieces and not spend an arm and a leg on them. I like to budget the majority of my shopping money on more classic pieces, and things I know I could wear everyday, like my kate spade watch shown here. Hope you enjoy!!

Pants & Jacket - Zara, Shirt - H&M, Beanie - purchased in Hungary at a local snowboard shop, Watch - kate spade, Boots - Stiefelkonig, Bracelet - Purchased at the Vienna Christmas Markets

p.s Sorry for the I-phone photos, my photo taking hockey playing husband has a game today ;)

Fur and Stripes

Hey all! Today is my first outfit post, so bear with me! It was a cold and snowy day, so I decided fur was the right choice. I am loving my faux fur vest purchased from Express. Fur is fun, cause it can be either dressed up or dressed down. Hope you love it as much as I do, and please share my blog!

Trieste Italy

We spent the rest of our weekend in Trieste Italy. Its a seaport In northeastern Italy, and is situated on a strip of land between the Adriatic Sea, and Italy's border with Slovenia. It was one of the oldest parts of the Habsburg Monarchy (Austrian Emperors)  from 1382-1918. We visited Miramare Castle which was built from 1856-1860 for Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximillian and his wife. The castle sits right on a cliff, and seashore park of 54 acres. It was so beautiful, and situated in such a gorgeous location. I could see why they would have built there so long ago.

We also spent some time at the Piazza dell' Unita d'Italia right in the center of Trieste. It's where the town hall is located, and all the walking streets, and shopping. We had a awesome lunch there Monday before heading home. We had a great trip, and would definitely recommend Trieste to all of our friends. Hopefully next year we have a few more visitors. Open invitation to anyone who would like to come!!

Pula and Rovinj Croatia

Last weekend we had three days off and were able to do some traveling. We spent our first night in Rovinj Croatia. It is right on the Adriatic Sea, and sometimes known as "little Venice". It was very quaint  and super beautiful views of the Sea. We stayed in a fabulous resort, right on the water. Our friends the Pratt's and Metcalf's from Hungary met us there. Saturday it poured rain, so we were not able to do any site seeing, so we took advantage of the pool at our hotel, and all ordered room service. It was so fun to catch up with our friends, and see the kids again. Hudson and Quinn are growing up so fast!!

The next day the weather was so much better. No more rain, and sunshine. We headed down to the city center of Rovinj and walked around the cute little streets, and took some photos by the water. We then headed to Pula Croatia, about half an hour further down the coast. Pula has one of 6 remaining Roman Amphitheaters. It dates back to 27 BC, and once sat more than 20,000 spectators. It is now used as a venue for concerts, and they have even held 2 Ebel hockey games there. It was pretty cool to see, and so cool to be able to walk all around it.
