How to get that "false lash look"

Hey guys!! There is one beauty product that I can not live with out, and that is mascara. I consider myself a mascara junky. But I believe a little mascara, and applying it correctly makes a world of difference. I have tried just about every brand out there, and have discovered what I think is the perfect combination, to get that "false lash look".

1. LiLash Eye lash serum - I only use this product about once a week, at night. I apply it
lightly on my lash line before bed. It is similar to "Latisse", but you don't need a prescription to get it.
$139.97 for six month supply @ http://www.lilash.com/ (this has lasted me over 9 months)

2. MAC Prep & Prime Lash - This looks like Mascara, but goes on white. I use it everyday, but only
one coat, under your regular mascara. It just helps pump up your lashes natural volume.
$16.00 @ http://www.maccosmetics.com/

3. MAC Zoom Lash Mascara - I have used every name brand Mascara out there, you name it I have tried it, and this is by far my favorite. I usually apply 2 coats of this mascara.
$16.00 @ http://www.maccosmetics.com/

Polka Dot kinda day

I have been absolutely loving polka dots. Every time I see them, I am totally drawn to them. I bought these pants in Florence and am in LOVE with them. I think you could dress them up, or down. This outfit would be perfect for work, or even a date. I am so glad that Spring seems like it's here. I love Spring, and love Spring clothes. Let's all have a happy dance for Spring!!

After we left Rome we took a train to Florence, or as the Italians know it Firenze. It's about a two hour train ride from Rome to Florence, and right through the Tuscany region of Italy. It was a gorgeous ride, and one I would love to do again in the summer.

I didn't really know what to expect from Florence, but it was also an amazing city, full of charm and beauty. The first stop on our tour, was the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, or the Duomo. It was completed in 1436, and is what St. Peter's Basilica was modeled after. We took the 436 steps to the top of the Dome, and got to enjoy gorgeous views of the Firenze city, and valley. The views were pretty breath taking. The rest of the day we spent wandering through the city, taking in the local culture, and enjoying some terrific food. Brad let Derek and I have the night to ourselves so we could have a romantic dinner, and it was delicious.

The next day, we got up and walked to the open air Market, and went to a little Panini shop I found on trip advisor. It was by far the best meal of the trip. When we arrived there was a huge line out the door, so we knew we were in for a treat. The man behind the counter asked what we would like, and I told him something a little spicy. He then crafted us the most delicious sandwich of our lives. The slices of fresh foccacia with buffalo mozzarella, and eggplant, with a spicy red pepper pesto, and turkey totally hit the spot. Only 5 Euro each, which was by far the cheapest meal of the trip too. If you are ever in Florence, it is a must to stop by at All'Antico Vinaio.

Our next stop was visiting the Statue of David, by Michelangelo. It was amazing!! The craftsmanship  and details were pretty outstanding. It's hard to believe it was crafted by hand. Unfortunately we couldn't take photos, but I snuck a couple with my handy I phone. We then finished off the trip by visiting the original location of the statue of David,  Piazzale Michelangelo. Again, with gorgeous views of the city.

We had an amazing trip, and I would absolutely love to go back.

Hey guys!! We recently got back from four days in Rome and Florence Italy. We went with our friend from the team Brad, and had an amazing time.

We started the trip by taking the night train to Rome. It was an 8 hour train ride, and we didn't get much sleep. We arrived in Rome at 9:30 a.m and decided to get tickets for the hop on hop off bus tours. They go to all the major tourist attractions, and you can buy tickets for 24 to 72 hours. We decided on the 48 hour tickets, and used the bus as our transportation for the next two days, Since it was raining that day we decided to do Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica and Square. We were there during the papal conclave, and it was packed. Unfortunately, the Sisteen Chapel was closed, so we didn't get to see that. That day we also explored the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. We finished off the day enjoying some Pizza, Caprese Salad, one of my favorites, and Dr's favorite Tiramasu.

The next day was my favorite. We visited the Colosseum  It is unbelievable. Even better than I thought it would be. The pictures really do not do it justice. It is so huge, and we learned so much about it. At one point it was completely covered. in white marble, and was later used as a marble quarry  They used the white marble to build some of today's basilicas, including St. Peters. We then ventured to The Palatine Hill, and The Roman Forum. It was were the Romans lived during the days of the Colosseum.

The city was amazing, there were Roman remains everywhere you looked, and the history in that city is pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who visits Europe. It is for sure a must see. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip, and I will be putting together a itinerary for all of you who are interested.

Hey ya’ll!! Happy Thursday!! Can’t believe its almost the end of another week!! Hope you all had a chance to check out my sock bun tutorial, but if you didn’t you will find it in the bellow post. I am loving sock buns lately, they are so fast, easy and super cute!! Today I wanted to wear something a little more casual, but I wanted to wear the new necklace I bought in Budapest. I think paired with a cute stripe top is the way to go. And I LOVE my new Smoking Slippers from Zara. The nude color, and rose gold studs can easily be worn with almost anything. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for visiting my blog today!!
